Curbside Pickup

In order to maintain social distancing, the Library is offering contactless, curbside pickup of materials. This service is for Elk Grove Village Public Library cardholders only.

In the event of extreme weather, we may have to temporarily stop curbside service. Please be sure to call the Library at (847) 439-0447 when the weather is questionable.

Curbside Pickup Step-by-Step

1. Request Items

You can do this two ways: online through your library account or by phone. 

Online

  • Visit the Library's website at www.egvpl.org
  • Log into My Account with your library card number and pin
  • Place holds on the items you'd like to borrow

By Phone
Call the Library at (847) 439-0447 between the following hours:

Monday - Thursday
9am - 8pm

Friday
9am - 6pm

Saturday
9am - 4pm

Sunday
12pm - 4pm

2. Wait for Notification

When your curbside hold request is ready for pick up, you will be notified by phone, email, or text. Please do not come to the Library to pick up your hold(s) until you receive this notification.

3. Come to the Library to collect your items

  • Look for the signs at the curbside pickup area
  • Call the Library's Curbside Pickup Hotline at (224) 281-1157
  • Describe your vehicle so library staff know where to locate you
  • Stay in your vehicle while library staff bring you your curbside materials
